To Leave No Trace
August 24 – September 29

To Leave No Trace
, featuring new ephemeral works by Portland artist Derek Franklin, questions how to heal, de-educate, and challenge the role violence in the United States. In his work, Franklin utilizes the discourse and visual representations of his lived experience within public education, media, and internet trolling. On display in the gallery are sculptures and paintings that point both to the communal mitigation of trauma and the histories of brutality which cause trauma.

To Leave No Trace

Fennel

All leave a trace

Some leave a trace that rejoices in the space in which we heal, build, love and experience each other and the world around us.

Lard Lard

Space is colonized with violence

Look to where the water and air meet

Smell raw bacon

Oil slick on the water

Lard

You are a lunatic
